Plastic stands out as the primary pollutant in our nation. Many kits are laden with supplies, often encased in inexpensive plastic-coated bags. Reflecting on my first year at SCAD, I embarked on a project to repurpose materials discarded around campus, starting with my foundations kit. Through thorough cleaning and creative ingenuity, I turned the broken plastic bags into a stylish vest, symbolizing my journey. As I conceptualized this endeavor, I recognized its alignment with the thematic essence of my collection, Chaos Continuum, making it a seamless addition to my body of work.
